	Tridentnav Systems develops PC-based software for navigation at sea. The software is available in two different versions: Tridentnav ECS Standard for leisure craft users, and Tridentnav ECS Professional for proffesional users. - System architechture and general philosophy The main purpose of Tridentnav ECS has been to create a navigation system that is flexible and at the same time easy to use. Tools that are used frequently should be easy to reach, without stealing attention from the navigator's other tasks. This is achieved in two ways, through the view system and the menu system. The view system lets the navigator adapt his screen layout according to the situation at hand or according to personal taste. Depending on which information the navigator wants available on the screen, a number of different views with either alphanumeric information or chart images can be shown.
