Company information

Aptomar was founded in 2005 by Lars Andre Solberg, Jonas Moræus Aamodt and Håkon Skjelten, who all still have central positions in the company. Besides the founders and other employees, Statoil Venture, ProVenture Seed, Investinor and NTNU TTO are shareholders of Aptomar. The company and its 23 employees are based in Trondheim, the technological capitol of Norway. Agents and representatives are located world wide.

Aptomar places much emphasis on the core values of the company: Proud, Fearless, Open and Responsible. We actively use and follow these values in our daily business, in order to provide the best results for our customers, employees and owners.

For the first five years of the company, focus has been on the product SECurus. The product and the technology was the brainchild of the founders, and has been developed in cooperation with and supported by pilot customers, Statoil, ENI, Møkster, NTNU, Forskningsrådet (Norwegian Research Council) and Innovasjon Norge (Innovation Norway). Aptomar and SECurus has won several technology and start-up awards.

After making the first commercial installation of SECurus on Volstad Princess in June 2008, interest in Aptomar’s ground-breaking SECurus technology has increased dramatically.

The SECurus system is a preferred and unmatched safety solution for navigation aid, vessel safety and security, environmental monitoring, and SAR. The SECurus system is mandatory on NOFO class vessels for use on the Norwegian Continental shelf.

Aptomars latest product is TCMS (Tactical Collaboration Management System). Drawing on technology and experience from SECurus, TCMS provides the customer with an unparalleled real-time overview of its operations. TCMS integrates information from many different sources, including SECurus, radars, video, ROV, CCTV, etc, into an easy to operate map-based interface.
